Where? 34°37′37″N 86°52′52″W Mooresville, AL 35649
What is it? This tiny, adorable historic town was established in 1818 and many of the original buildings are still standing.
Why should I visit? Beautiful, unique, full of history and completely charming. Mooresville is home to the oldest operational post office in Alabama.
If you look closely at the buildings, you will notice the axe marks on the wood that was hand-cut, and the imperfections in the bricks that were handmade.
There is a tiny bakery with limited hours that you will love!
Giant oak trees line the streets in front of perfectly maintained white picket fences. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
It’s also a great place for pictures!
